Disconnect a platform

1. Sign in to IRLStream.
2. Open the account menu and choose Connected accounts (Settings → Connected accounts).
3. Press Disconnect next to the platform and confirm.

We immediately delete that platform’s stored tokens and revoke them with the platform where it allows. IRLStream stops reading chat from that account. You can also remove access from the platform’s side, for example in your Twitch “Connections” settings or at Google account permissions for YouTube.

Delete chat history

Chat history is deleted automatically 30 days after a stream ends. To delete it sooner, delete the stream’s chat history from its recap in the app, or email [email protected] and we will delete it for you.

Facebook and Instagram

If you connected Facebook or Instagram to IRLStream and want your data removed:

1. Go to your Facebook account’s Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites (on Instagram: Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites).
2. Find IRLStream and select Remove.
3. To also delete the data we already hold, disconnect the account in IRLStream (above) or email [email protected] from your account’s email address.

Delete your account

You can delete your account yourself, in the app:

1. Sign in to IRLStream.
2. Open the account menu and choose Account (Settings → Account).
3. Under Delete account, press Delete account and enter your password to confirm.

Deletion happens right away: live streams and shows stop, your boxes are released so they can be claimed again, and your account and its data are deleted. If you can’t sign in (for example, your access request was never approved), email [email protected] from the address you signed up with, with the subject “Delete my account”. We may ask you to confirm the request; we complete email requests within 30 days and reply when it is done.

What gets deleted, and when

• Disconnect a platform: its tokens are deleted right away; chat already stored follows the 30-day rule unless you delete it.
• Delete chat history: removed from our database right away.
• Delete your account: in the app, your profile, stream and destination settings, stream keys, connected accounts and tokens, uploaded media, chat history and uploaded sessions are deleted right away (by email request, within 30 days).
• Backups and logs: copies in backups and technical logs are removed as they expire on their normal cycle. Some records may be kept longer where the law requires it.
